Gas piping requires proper maintenance to keep it functioning correctly and to prevent corrosion and leakage. You are responsible for maintaining the line from the meter to your home both above and below ground and the line that extends to your natural gas-fired appliances.
Think safety first. There are over 2.5 million miles of pipeline in the U.S. today. Greater Minnesota Gas operates both transmission pipelines and distribution pipelines, consisting of main lines and service lines.
